… is a music producer, engineer, mixer, composer, DJ and music consultant.

He first became known as Humate, the project that helped shape the sound of melodic and progressive electronic music in the early ’90s.
Tracks like Love Stimulation travelled far and wide and and still resonate today.
After a succesfull career as a DJ producer and remixer and becoming a dad, Gerret decided
it was time for a change.

Founding the music production house Mothers Milk gave him the ability
to be there for his child while working on music.

These days his work moves across different worlds:
equally at home in dance, electronica, alternative and cinematic / avant-garde genres,
he produces and mixes music for artists and projects, composes for visual media,
and consults on how a production can tell a story or strengthen an idea.

At the heart of it all lies a deep love for detail, emotion and sonic texture.

He has composed for films, installations and commercials,
exploring how music shapes what we see and feel.

As a producer and songwriter, he has collaborated
with a host of internationally renowned artists.

His favorite place to create is changes.berlin — a dolby atmos equiped space
built for collaboration and experimentation.
